The Sea of Glass

6 Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. …
Before the throne of God there is not a swimming pool or a lake, but something like a sea of glass, wide and boundless. This sea is silent and calm without waves before his creator. It is transparent down to the bottom and crystal-clear.
This pacific sea before the throne of God might mean the sea of peoples which do not go wild restlessly and impetuously in front of the presence of his majesty and might any longer. Before God everything becomes silent.
The Wise does not need a book, no, in front of him there is a sea of glass. He looks through everything and reads all deeds of men as if they were recorded on an endless screen. The motions of all motor vehicles and airplanes, of all good and evil spirits, are disclosed before him. In the presence of God nothing can be hidden. The pacific sea before the throne of God is a strong contrast to the thunderstorm in the throne. His lightnings as well as the flames of the seven torches are reflected in the calm sea. The pacific sea is a sign of majesty and dignity of the Almighty.
In several hotels in India square water basins are installed in the entrance hall. Water is overflowing continually and noiselessly and is providing the huge rooms with humidity and coolness when it is oppressively hot. The water surface of these basins appears like a sea of glass, which seems to stand calm even though there is a continuous flow which does not generate any waves and reflects like a dark, smooth mirror the lights of the surrounding.
Crystal-clear are spread before God all sorrows and sins of men. Even your problems and transgressions are known to him. He knows everything, sees everything, understands everything and is able to do everything. Yet he is not a brutal dictator or a God full of despotism like Allah in Islam, but he is our Father full of love and holiness. He is worshiped by his creatures voluntarily with deep reverence and gratefulness.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You are the Omniscient and nothing is hidden before You. Uncover our faults that they may not separate us from Your holiness. Cleanse us that we may not flee out of fear from You, but return as lost children, and You receive us with Your mercy.
